Big Data and AI Advisory Group
Big Data and Artificial Intelligence in Childhood Epilepsy Research- What are the Views of Patients, Parents and the Public?
Emma is a first year PhD student in the NEST Lab at King’s College London. Emma’s research aims to identify early indicators of developmental differences in babies with early-onset epilepsy, to improve our understanding of how developmental challenges associated with childhood epilepsy may impact children and their families.
Emma will be recruiting an advisory group for a research project to help ensure that it meets the needs of, and includes the voices of those directly affected by childhood epilepsy. The project will explore patient, parent and public perspectives on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence approaches in childhood epilepsy research.

The advisory group will be made up of several members, including:
One to two adults aged 26 or over who were diagnosed with epilepsy as a child
One to two adult parents or carers of a young child (aged 5 years or under) with epilepsy
One to two young people aged 18 - 25 who were diagnosed with epilepsy as a child.
